Launch SF Twitter Recap and Analysis #L11

The two-day Launch startup conference hosted by entrepreneur Jason Calacanis (@Jason) just wrapped up in San Francisco. An extensive panel of judges, attendees, livestream viewers, and Twitter followers witnessed 54 tech companies pitch their new mobile and web apps.

Using RowFeeder, we tracked the conversations containing the official conference hashtag, #L11, and all mentions of @launch. Here are the results.

Total number of tweets on 2/23: 6,866
Total number of tweets on 2/24: 6,468

The top 20 Klout influencers that were in attendance included tech bloggers Robert Scoble and Chris Pirillo, investors Dave McClure, Chris Sacca, Shervin Pishevar, and Jason Calacanis.

The demos ranged from a lifestyle tracking service to a mobile app creation tool. Ultimately, the judges awarded 13 companies out of 54 presenters with Launch Awards, 2 of those being the 1.0 and 2.0 Best Overall winners. In total, the winners were mentioned in ~17% of all Launch SF tweets.
