This week, Simply Measured was included in an exclusive list of only 14 companies Twitter recognizes as industry leading services that they are committed to promoting and working with. We’re excited and honored to be included in this list, and look forward to continuing to build great products for the Twitter community.
With over 500 million users, 340 million tweets a day, and 98% of the worlds top brands engaging with their audience, Twitter saw the need “to bring some of the most innovative products and services from Twitter developers to businesses and organizations that need them most.”
Twitter Analytics have been a part of our DNA since the company was founded as Untitled Startup. This long-time passion for Twitter data has helped us become a trusted leader in the analytics market with 50,000 users and over 1/4 of the top 100 brands served. Being named to the Twitter Certified Product Program is a huge honor and further validates our vision for making the word of analytics and reporting a better, more beautiful place.
But to be fair, when we started Simply Measured, we had an ace up our sleeve.
While our company wasn’t founded until 2010, our relationship with Twitter started back in 2007 with a security hacker who wanted a simple way to look at his own Twitter activity.
“Having been one of the original developers on the Twitter API, it’s been amazing to see their growth and improvement over time,” says Damon Cortesi, the CTO and co-founder of Simply Measured. “We’re committed to working with Twitter to build on their platform.”
Damon wrote his first first Twitter app, Tweetstats, in December of 2007, less than two years after the now gigantic social network was launched.
The early days had some bumps in the road,” Damon remembers. “But our friends at Twitter were dedicated to improving the quality of their developer platform, and they maintain that dedication today.”
He prototyped over 70 different applications on the Twitter platform and released over 10 of those to the world between 2007 and 2010. Damon took the knowledge and tech he developed working on Tweetstats and his other apps to a new level with the broader, richer analytics software we provide today.
Enter Twitter’s new Certified Product Program.
Designed to help businesses identify the most useful, successful and well-developed tools for understanding and using Twitter, the CPP chooses the best software and tools available. They base their decision on usability, product richness, and customer testimonials.

While their long history certainly played into Twitter’s decision, they didn’t make it on an emotional whim. They recognized the power in our software, the extensive client list of top brands and agencies, as well as the passion for helping customers gain actionable insights in easy to digest formats.
