As a B2B Marketer, LinkedIn is one of my favorite networks. Nearly unlimited info on the users you’re talking with, the companies they work for, and what they do.
But the great part is that the flip side is true as well. Users can learn almost anything they want about your company, products, and services right from your company profile…if you have it set up the right way.
If you don’t? You could be missing the opportunity to tell your brand story, engage with interested users, and generate real leads for your sales team.
With that in mind, here are 5 things you may have missed that you can do with your company profile page:
1. Dynamic Product Listings:
LinkedIn pages support a full “products” tab, dedicated to showcasing your services and offerings, complete with customizable images, a section for descriptions, and links to the actual products…but you probably knew that.
What you Might Have Missed: LinkedIn allows you to create different variations of your product page based on the viewer’s profile data.
2. Click-Thru Banners:
On your homepage, you can create a custom banner image at the top of the page…but that’s not the only one.
What You Might Have Missed: When editing your “products” tab, you have the opportunity to load three banner ads to your profile that showcase whatever messaging you’d like and link to anywhere you’d like.
In your careers tab, you can load a video that showcases your company, culture, or anything else that would help with recruiting…but wait, there’s more!
What You Might Have Missed: On the products page, there’s an opportunity to load a video in the sidebar. This is an opportunity to focus more on social selling than recruiting.
As LinkedIn grows into a more robust network that serves both needs, this level of customization is a huge value add for social companies.
4. Careers Tab:
LinkedIn gives you a full “careers” tab where you can list the current openings at your company…you probably use this.
What You Might Have Missed: LinkedIn’s careers page has been completely built out, with some great features. Featured Employees, space for two separate slideshows showcasing office life and company culture, a video, quotes, and text boxes for your own custom messaging.
LinkedIn company pages come equipped with an analytics tab…you may have seen it.
