#LIFTSocial: How We Did on Twitter Jade Furubayashi Blogger Extraordinaire Simply Measured

In case you missed it, last week we hosted our first ever =LIFT(Social) user conference. We had 15+ speakers from some of the world’s top brands and 300+ of the top social marketers in attendance.

I’ve been to a number of conferences during my time as a Social Media Manager. However, I have never been on the other end of such an event. All the posts, Tweets, pins, Likes…needless to say, I was exhausted.

However, when I got back into the office on Monday and ran the reports, I was amazed at the amount of love we got on social during =LIFT. We compiled all of our data into the below infographic.

3 Must-Know #LIFTSocial Numbers

Screen Shot 2015-11-03 at 9.59.55 AMSince it was our first time hosting a conference, I really had no idea what to expect on social. Would we get mentions from 300 or 3,000 people? Turns out, the latter! Our hashtag was Tweeted about 3,550 times by 638 people.

This was exciting because we had 366 attendees, so we had nearly 300 people following from outside the conference! One of our biggest goals was to spread awareness of social media and social media analytics to not just those at the conference, but to those who couldn’t make it, as well. This is an awesome indication of success!

The #LIFTSocial Hour-by-Hour Analysis

I was also pleased to see pretty consistent usage of the #LIFTSocial hashtag throughout the week.

We saw a huge peak early in the day, but then very consistent usage until the long-day fatigue set in. Shoutout to Nate Elliott, Travis Bernard, and Matthew Knell, all of whom drove some serious spikes!

#LIFTSocial Goes Global!

The #LIFTSocial hashtag may have trended in Seattle, but its message stretched way further than Washington…and even the United States. We saw #LIFTSocial pop up in 51 U.S. cities and 31 countries.

This type of support from all over the globe was incredible to see. Social marketers, unite!

#LIFTSocial’s Top Speakers…According to Twitter

Screen Shot 2015-10-28 at 4.17.43 PMNow, given some of the pre-session trash-talking I witnessed at =LIFT, I think it’s pretty safe to say that our speakers are a competitive bunch. Each speaker wanted to have the most questions, the best decks, the most Tweets…so we ran an analysis of the total count of Twitter mentions for each speaker’s handle in conjunction with the #LIFTSocial hashtag. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, your Top =LIFT(Social) Speakers!

#LIFTSocial’s 10 Top Tweeters

We had an extremely active audience, but the 10 highlighted on the left were the ones that used the #LIFTSocial hashtag the most! Congrats to Mike Antares who Tweeted about #LIFTSocial 111 times! Very impressive.

Finally, the coup de grace! We saw some pretty amazing #LIFTSocial Tweets/posts throughout the day, and they should be awarded! Coming in third place, with 13 Retweets, is Amy Gipsman of Starbucks!

Our silver medal, with 15 Retweets, goes to our keynote speaker, Nate Elliott!

And finally, the gold medal! Coming in HOT with 16 Retweets, is none other than Adam Schoenfeld. Congrats, Schoeny!

#LIFTSocial was a huge success and surpassed all of my expectations! Thank you all for your participation. We’ll see you again next year!
