Part of the fun with RowFeeder is the ability to start collecting data when news stories hit. For example, this week we posted public tweet tracking spreadsheets for “Arizona” and “Oil Spill.” We took a closer look at the Gulf Oil Spill Twitter conversations. Our question: is this primarily a Political story, Business story, or Environmental story. Based on the Twitter conversation, people seemed to care more about Obama and the Politics than the environmental impact.

Overall, this was a popular topic on Twitter. We captured over 16K tweets at a pace of >2,500 tweets per hours. There was a slight spike at noon, but the volume remained steady throughout the day…
