Finally, we can all rest easy. The decision has been made — LeBron is heading back to Cleveland. For days the internet has been searching high and low for clues, but this morning Sports Illustrated broke the news and decision in epic fashion — an article written by King James himself.

The internet exploded. Tweets, posts, and memes flooded all of my feeds. Sports Illustrated‘s link to the announcement has amassed nearly 1 million Bitly clicks, peaking at 24,418 clicks-per-minute at 9:32 AM. Lebron followed up this Tweet with this Instagram photo, which generated 70K+ engagements on Twitter and 533K+ on Instagram.

Some of the biggest names on Twitter are engaging with LeBron and his news, too — from @Instagram itself, to @Time magazine, to Usher.
