Today, Vine upped the ante by introducing a new way to experience their app, on the web. Brands can now log on to the network, view their feeds, comment, like and share their profile with their fans. We’ve seen Instagram do this, but Vine is bringing “TV Mode” to the table and it’s a total game-changer…
After Instagram added web profiles in October 2012, they saw a significant spike in their engagement on Facebook, as highlighted below. Brands flocked to the network and used their new web profiles as stunning landing pages. However, Vine’s “TV Mode” is something that Instagram does not have.
“TV Mode” enables users to watch a continuous full-screen stream of any collection of Vines. This is uncharted territory for social networks and poses a huge advertising opportunity for brands. The web app and TV Mode have catapulted Vine more into the ring with Instagram than ever before.
