Meet Simply Measured’s New Community Manager, Jade Furubayashi
Hi all, my name is Jade. I’m 21 years old and I’m the new Community Manager for Simply Measured. Considering it’s part of my job to know about all of you, it seems only fitting that I share a little bit about me!
Firstly, I am a fresh graduate of the University of Washington (Go Dawgs!). My favorite things in this world are dog parks, smoothies and Lake Washington. Throughout college, I worked for companies that relied heavily on social media marketing, like Universal Music Group and Social Freedom Inc. Once I graduated and those jobs wrapped, I began hunting for a Community Manager position. Lo and behold, I found myself here, reading and responding to your lovely tweets from the @SimplyMeasured handle.
So far, I’m convinced that being a Community Manager could be one of the best jobs ever. As a teen of the 2000s, I was raised on Myspace, Facebook, Tumblr, etc. Now, I’m able to use these platforms as tools (nix Myspace, add Twitter), to connect with, listen to and learn from our audience. It also may help that Simply Measured is a great place to work (Seriously, it is. And we’re hiring).
Although I still have loads to learn, I’m becoming more and more in tune with our audience, which is mostly thanks to all of you Simply Measured fans and your feedback. Shoot me a tweet, a Facebook post, a pin, a reblog, whatever you want! I’m looking forward to getting to know you all.
