Simply Measured 2.0: Analyze in Excel, Share Online, & Publish to PowerPoint

After many long nights and multiple bottles of Macallan being consumed, we’re finally ready to unveil Simply Measured 2.0 and can we say, damn, it is one hot looking product! To help you with this transition, we broken down the new hotness below and even made this handy 60 second video.

When we started out, we became known for our beautiful, easy to use Excel reports – we helped you break out from the confines of traditional web dashboards. Our Excel-based approach resonated with a lot of you . With this latest release we’re taking our Excel obsession to a whole new level. We developed a technology that renders interactive web-based charts directly from what you create in Excel. We still generate Excel reports where you can analyze, customize, and work in the format you love, but now you can publish your reports to the web. In other words, Simply Measured 2.0 introduces an “Excel to web” work flow. The web version isn’t just “like” or “similar” to your Excel charts – it’s a perfect 1-to-1 rendering. For a little extra fun, we made it easy to export to PowerPoint – another copy and paste step we have removed from your task list. But, enough pontificating about our late nights, here is what you can actually do with the new Simply Measured:

Analyze Data, Customize Charts in Excel, and Publish to the Web

Just as with Simply Measured 1.0 you can pull down all the data you track and monitor into Excel. And you still have complete control over customizing, updating, slicing and dicing your data. All of the functionality that you have grown to love about accessing our reports in Excel is still the same. However, when you’re done in Excel and ready to share with the rest of your team you can simply upload the updated file to your Simply Measured account. And like that, your beautiful Excel reports, are now web reports.

Open in Any Format… Excel to iPad – BOOM!

Another new feature is the ability to access your data on the fly, from any device. Our web based reports allow you to look at your data in any browser or on any web-enabled device. Traveling with just your iPad but need to check on your campaign? Done. On the train commuting home and your boss needs a data question answered now. Log in and you’ve got your answers!

Collaborate in Real-Time on the Web

We’ve all been there. We’ve finally got the reports all polished up and ready to be shared but then, you try an email it to someone. And inevitably the formatting on someones version (many times, it ends up being the *most important* person) gets all screwy. Well, the days of worrying about that are gone. With Simply measured 2.0 the canonical version lives on the web. You can share from the web dashboard, create new versions, access old versions, comment on charts, and collaborate with your team.

Export Full Charts to PowerPoint

When you’re finally ready to turn your charts into a presentation, it truly is easy as clicking a button. And the best part, full-featured charts are brought down to PowerPoint, not just images. So even if there are a few more last minute tweaks that need to happen you can do it right there. You can even apply your own theme when you publish so that it is exactly what you need, without any extra work.

Super Granular Scheduling (Like a Boss)

You live in email, so can Simply Measured. You can now schedule your reports so that they come directly to your Inbox. Helping you stay up to date with what is going on with your data. From the email you can quickly go to the web viewer or open directly to Excel.

Tying Together Multiple Data Sources into a Single Report

Reporting silos have gone the way of the Dodo-bird, with Simply Measured 2.0 you can now *easily* tie all your data sources together into one single report. You can tell your high-level story and then drill down to specifics as needed.

Combine Dozens or Even 100s of Facebook Pages or Twitter Accounts into a Single Report

Finally, social analytics for big enterprises. We’ve been hearing this request for quite some time. The ability to compare many, many Facebook pages or Twitters accounts against each other, easily. Because the truth is, big brands have a lot of different pages and accounts that their teams manage. Finally, you can input all your pages (or accounts) and get one report that will compare the data. You’ll be able to see how particular campaigns work on one vs another. You can monitor and see what kinds of conversations happen on which accounts. All from one report.

*Phew* it’s been bu-sy around here and we are really looking forward to some downtime over the next week… Wait, what’s that you tell me, Aviel? We’ve got more exciting things, getting pushed out later this week and next?! And that I should get over my illusion of taking off for some skiing (even though there is epic powder dumping in the Cascades), cause there is *more* work to be done?
