#TCDisrupt: Twitter Tackles the TechCrunch Conference
This year, TechCrunch Disrupt went back to San Francisco, but it didn’t leave it’s fans in New York.
Fans took to Twitter stronger than ever, using the hashtag #TCDisrupt over 39,000 times during the five day technology summit.
TechCrunch brought in some awesome presenters this year, including a great array of start up founders and CEOs like Travis Kalanick of Uber, as well as Mark Zuckerberg, Biz Stone, tech-savvy city mayor Cory Booker, and celebrity philanthropist Jessica Alba.
We’ve been tracking the #TCDisrupt hashtag over the course of the conference. We compiled some reports after it ended last night, and here’s what we found:
The incredible buzz generated by the event can be attributed to news outlets like the Huffington Post and CNBC covering Disrupt, but also from fans and speakers engaging their followers. Cory Booker and MC Hammer were among the most influential users users of the #TCDisrupt hashtag:
The most tweeted domain with the #TCDisrupt hashtag was www.fnbox.com, who was hosting a contest for Latin American start ups looking for venture capital. The link generated a lot of buzz, and over 6,000 retweets.
FNbox.com accounted for three of the top five Retweeted Tweets, with recaps of Zuckerberg’s speech claiming the other two:
