Over the last 3 days we’ve been closely following TechCrunch Disrupt in NYC. A ton of great startups presented at Disrupt, including Thinkfuse, our neighbor and nemesis in office Nerf gun battles (nice work guys!). Naturally, we were tracking the hashtag for #TCDistrupt and collected a ton of data during the event. As Disrupt wrapped up in NYC last night, we pulled some Excel reports to highlight the action on Twitter. Here’s what turned up…

The total activity was strong throughout the 3 day conference, drawing ~18K tweets from ~7,500 people. The third day drew the most volume on Twitter, in part due to an iPad contest that required the event hashtag.

Comparing mentions of the 5 Startup Battlefield finalists shows Disrupt Cup winner, GetAround, taking the title on Twitter as well.

Not surprisingly, the conversation mostly came from people in the New York area, but the distribution also shows that people were talking about Disrupt outside of the event as well. We can assume that the live stream helped keep a wider audience engaged with the happenings in NYC and tweeting about the event.
