This was a quote from Damon Cortesi yesterday. Just 24 hours later, this dream became reality with the re-launch of RowFeeder. The world’s simplest social media monitoring tool just got hotter. The new version has Facebook integration, a new 100% free plan, a shiny new interface, and improved Google docs integration. Details follow.
With RowFeeder our goal is to innovate around simplicity. The iPad is just a larger iPod Likewise, spreadsheets have been a critical tool for data analysis for a long time, but seeing social data laid out row by row brings instant joy to spreadsheet nuts like us.
Following the release of the Open Graph API at Facebook’s recent F8 Conference, our engineering team jumped on the opportunity to connect Facebook with RowFeeder. Facebook tracking works much like Twitter tracking. You specify a keyword term, and we pull the matches from Facebook into your spreadsheet. Note: this includes only posts that users have deemed “for everyone.” With all RowFeeder accounts, you can now create spreadsheets that track both Twitter and Facebook. In Professional accounts Twitter posts will appear in one tab in your Google spreadsheet and Facebook posts in a second tab.
New Plans and Pricing
After experimenting with a pay-per-use model, we have moved to a tiered monthly subscription structure. This includes a 100% Free plan to track up to 1 active term and 500 posts per month. The 3 paid professional plans scale up to 5 active terms and 15,000 posts per month. This change does not effect our Enterprise option. The Enterprise program serves PR firms, Marketing Agencies, and EnterprisesÂ looking for a customizable solution to track a large number of high volume terms. Improved Google Docs Integration
We’ve completely improved our integration with Google spreadsheets. We’ve improved the standard templates, smoothed out the process for creating new spreadsheets, and implemented tracking on multiple tabs to go along with Facebook.
